Super Speciality Hospital at Ananthapuramu is constructed under PMSSY ( Phase -III) scheme. Construction of Super Speciality Hospital was completed in 2020. Because of Sudden Covid pandemic, SSH is being converted into Covid Hospital and rendered services to the people of Ananthapuramu District and Surrounding Districts and also served people of adjoining Karnataka State. During Covid Pandemic, with total of 7700 patients of moderate to severe infection with 6 ICU 's total of 50-60 beds.
After the decline of Pandemic, Super Speciality Services were started in April 2022. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been filling up the posts of Super Specialists, various Nursing & Paramedical posts.
Presently out of 8 Super Speciality branches, 7 branches were functioning and rendering services to the patients. Main branches like Cardiology, Endocrinology, Medical Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Neurosurgery, Neurology and Urology supported by other departments like Anaesthesia, Radiology, Hospital Administration and Diagnostic Departments like Biochemistry, Microbiology and Pathology departments.
